Equipment & Issues

Know who has the backpack sprayer

Track serialized assets, pooled gear, and consumable supplies with barcode-driven check-out and check-in. Every item is location-scoped and can be assigned to a person.

  • Techs check gear out and in themselves; managers can take over a hand-off
  • Report an issue with photos from the truck, the depot, or the home screen
  • Open → Under Repair → Resolved, with a full lifecycle history on every asset
  • Presence audits: scan or check off everything at a location to verify what is really there
  • Labels for Avery sheets or Dymo, Brother, and Zebra printers

Backpack sprayers, blowers, hose reels, and the pooled gear that lives in a bin at the depot all cost real money and all walk away. Depot Nexus tracks three kinds of equipment: serialized items with their own barcode and history, shared pooled items that are assignable but not individually numbered, and consumable supplies tracked by count. Every item belongs to a depot and can be assigned to a person, so the question "who has it" always has an answer.

Techs check gear out and in themselves from Quick Scan or the My Equipment card on their home screen, and the database only allows a check-in by the person who actually holds the item. When a manager needs to reassign something mid-shift, Take Over moves it in one atomic step with the hand-off recorded. Presence audits let a manager walk the depot and scan or check off everything that should be there, producing a list of what is missing.

Issues are first-class. Anyone can report a problem on a sprayer or a truck with up to five photos, and the ticket moves through Open, Under Repair, and Resolved with every transition and assignee recorded. Failed pre-trip checklist items and telematics fault codes open issues automatically. The equipment detail page shows one timeline of check-outs, maintenance, and issues, and the Equipment History report exports the same data to CSV.

Getting Started

Three steps to your first scan

Every plan includes a free onboarding walkthrough. There is no implementation project and nothing to install on your techs' phones.

  1. 1

    Book a demo

We walk through the platform on your real workflow: your depots, your trucks, the way your techs load out at 6am. You see exactly what changes and what does not.

  2. 2

    We set up your organization

We create your organization and your depots. You load your product catalog (on Enterprise we set it up with you), then invite your team and pick a role for each person: admin, manager, or technician.

  3. 3

Print labels, scan the first load-out

Print barcode labels on Avery sheets or a Dymo, Brother, or Zebra printer, and scan the first truck. Connect Samsara, Zubie, or Linxup whenever you are ready and the fleet data starts flowing that night.
